Business Strategy
Magnum has the unique opportunity to provide a “Green Solution” to several of the worlds common disposal issues which includes a strategy to establish waste management facilities; design, manufacture, and sell products made with recycled materials; and institute viable solutions to the problem of recycling waste rubber. This also includes our one of a kind close loop recycling technology using our proprietary knowhow for recycling scrap rubber to produce a variety of end products while reducing greenhouse gases.
MDOR’s business strategy is to establish waste management facilities; design, manufacture, and sell products made with recycled materials; and institute viable solutions to the problem of recycling waste rubber.
MDOR will use its licensed patented processes to recycle scrap tires, remove fibers and metal wire, and produce crumb rubber sorted into different mesh sizes for use in various rubber products. MDOR will also, through its knowhow and trade secret processes, produce ultra fine rubber nuggets for the production of Elastomeric Alloys (EAs). These key alloys are the essential building blocks for final end user products that meet established ‘Green’ standards.

Corporate Overview
MDOR currently has a 5 year $91,200,000 USD contract for the production of rubber buffings and a 5 year $40,000,000 USD contract for the production of rubber nuggets. Magnum is currently using its advanced technologies along with continued research & development to produce the next generation of retread compounds and reactivated ambient /cryogenic rubber powders for the world market.
The Technology
Magnum, through it’s technology provider, Sekhar Research Innovations Sdn Bhd, (SRI), Develops Next Generation Rubber Processing Aids and range of Custom Multi Application Compounds [ http://srielastomers.com/research ]
SRI was founded by the doyen of modern Rubber Technology, the late Tan Sri Dr. B.C. Sekhar to develop and commercialize his own proprietary innovations and technologies. Today SRI in addition boasts new cutting edge solutions in elastomeric processing technologies and proprietary next generation equipment and processes for the rubber recycling industry developed by his son Gopinath B. Sekhar.
SRI Custom Compounds and Process
SRI is currently using their advanced technologies to produce next generation rubber recycling solutions for custom compounds, retread compounds, processing aids, advanced state-of-the-art equipment, and reactivated ambient/cryogenic rubber powders for the global market. SRI is also carrying out a number of trials on various compound blends specifically targeted at high specification premium applications. SRI tests are targeting premium applications that contain high grade properties. This will allow production of higher yielding compounds which will potentially create higher revenues and profits. This also includes maximizing cost savings for clients while producing high quality materials.
The reason why SRI premium compounds are one of a kind is because they can be substituted in high specification compound applications without appreciable loss in properties or performance. Furthermore, the reason why our clients will prefer to use SRI compounds is they will be able to enjoy a substantial and meaningful reduction in raw material cost without compromising product performance and quality. In the competitive environment of rubber product manufacturing this is a major development having a direct impact on our customer’s bottom line.Visit the SRI website
Magnum license for SRI’s proprietary technology provides a one of a kind solution to all of the challenges in eliminating Stockpiles of Scrap Tires and Global Waste. Statistics compiled by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicate around 290 million scrap tires are being generated annually. Moreover, 275 million tires are estimated to be in stockpiles around the country. In October 2008 Magnum entered into an agreement granting them a license to use SRI’s process technology. SRI is further developing their next generation rubber processing aids and range of custom multi application compounds.
SRI’s proprietary technology could potentially revolutionize the rubber recycling industry. Sekhar Research Innovations Sdn Bhd is currently using its advanced technologies along with continued R & D to produce the next generation of retread compounds and reactivated ambient /cryogenic rubber powders for the world market. SRI has tested and formulated a number of high-tech and revolutionary innovative methods for the recycling of scrap tires, although not all of them represent recycling in its original meaning. These methods differ in regard to their products, feasibility, technical efficiency and ecological compatibility; however, it is our goal to work with technologies that provide the optimum solutions in meeting today’s needs in commercially and technically viable manner.
Magnum has support Locally, Federally, and with Provincial Governing Bodies. Magnum is currently working with Federal and provincial governing bodies for funding that includes: grants, project funding, and financial assistance offered by the Ville de Magog and other government programs offered by both the Quebec and Canadian governments. Magnum will be provided with technical support at each stage of the industrial project, including availability to set up a local committee to support the different stages of the venture. This group may include people from the Town of Magog, the Local Employment Centre (CLE), and the Centre local de développement (CLD). The resources developed through this group will allow Magnum to obtain maximum support at each step of development that includes: permitting, facility construction, employment of qualified manpower, or developing relations with the various municipal services. Magnum has formed a close working relationship with Canadian official and General Director Ghyslain Goulet of CLD de la MRC de Memphrémagog, http://www.cldmemphremagog.com
