Company Explains What Is so Significant About Magnum and the Magnum SRI Technology
November 17, 2009 08:01 AMHUDSON, Colo., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Magnum D’Or Resources, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MDOR – News), a next generation rubber solutions company, releases key information. Magnum is the only tire recycling company that is able to cost effectively recycle scrap tires into a technically viable raw material compounds that can be added into the most challenging and value added applications.
Until now recycling rubber meant converting scrap tires into fine dust to be used as cheapening filler, production of low-grade processing aids, putting it on to the roads, burning it for fuel, all of which are very low value applications and consequently no volume implications relative to the potential production volumes. For the first time there is a technology that allows the conversion of vulcanized tire scrap into rubber compound (de-vulcanized) that may be used in fairly substantial volumes and proportions in value added applications.
For the first time the addition of recycled content above a couple of percent in such applications as tires does not lead to catastrophic failure. In fact the tires have been tested independently and have been found to be equal to their virgin rubber counterparts in terms of all technical and performance parameters. While being a highly innovative technology is nice and impressive, what is of real significance here is that this innovation is able to provide this global recycling solution while at the same time provide for substantial savings in raw material costs to potential manufacturers of rubber products.
Rubber Manufacturers all over the world have been squeezed between the recessionary forces on one end and spiraling increases in fuel and operating costs at the other, leaving their margins substantially reduced. Manufacturers in such industries as tires, retread and automotive components have seen their margins slashed and their viability threatened. The Magnum SRI Revolutionary custom compound is able to provide savings in raw material costs between 6 to 8% under these conditions. Obviously the significance and the savings on raw material costs would be much higher in the case of compounds of medium specification and scope. It is the only technology in the world that can actually address the global problem of mounting tire scrap and the damaging effect to the environment by their very storage, disposal by burning for fuel, use in cement kilns and other applications of low value and low volume.
Magnum, by introducing this technology in North America will provide an appreciable impact on scrap tire volume currently stockpiled all round the country and do it in an environmentally sustainable and commercially viable manner.
About MDOR (www.magnumresources.net): Magnum’s positioned to become a global leader in rubber and scrap tire recycling using its proprietary “Green” technology providing a one-of-a-kind solution to all of the challenges in eliminating stockpiles of scrap tires and rubber scrap.
