HENDERSON, Nev., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Magnum D’Or Resources, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:MDOR.ob – News) (the “Company”), in conjunction with its technology partner Sekhar Research Innovations (”SRI”), is pleased to announce the positive results of its testing of the SRI Compound Masterbatch (the “Compound”), a medium quality retread compound. The Compound and test results are now being evaluated by several large scale manufacturers in the Indian, Chinese and Southeast Asian markets.

Magnum/SRI collectively created the Compound in a joint development project from whole tire crumb supplied by the Company’s fine rubber powder. To create the Compound, forty mesh tire dust was devulcanized through the SRI Activation process, and was subsequently compounded and treated with next generation processing aids. The Compound was then blended with medium quality regional virgin retread compound, without any adjustment or alteration, to produce the tested product.

Unlike other rubber processing methods, the Company’s method directly substitutes a portion of the virgin compound with recycled rubber compound, before blending and final product creation. The Company and SRI created several different compound variations for testing purposes beginning at five percent recycled content, and increasing in one percent increments, to up to twenty percent recycled content. The Compound was tested through several methods, and the results suggest that the Compound will be acceptable for a wide spectrum of proportions, ranging from the tested five percent up to the twenty percent compound substitution, testing included abrasion resistance testing.

In response to this development, Joseph Glusic, the Company’s CEO, stated that “We are pleased with the outcome of the testing of the Magnum/SRI Compound. We look forward to seeing the Compound used to manufacture retread for the Indian, Chinese and Southeast Asian markets.”

Magnum D’Or Resources reports that truck tires utilizing its recycled rubber-based SRI compound have successfully passed the 2,500 kilometer validation trials they were undergoing at the Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia.

The tires were fitted to a rear axle of a light commercial vehicle alongside Bridgestone BS100 tires in size 7.00-16 12PR in order to test performance and wear resistance.

The purpose of the trials, says the company, was to establish whether it is possible to include substantive recycled content in production OE and replacement tires without compromising performance and safety.

According to Magnum D’Or Resources, the results of these tests suggest the company’s SRI compounds may be able to provide manufacturers recycled tires that operate just as efficiently as virgin rubber tires.

Protocol testing will continue over the cause of the coming year to establish the performance levels of the Magnum SRI compound in different variants of compounds, tire types and applications. (Tyres & Accessories)
